Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our development team in New Delhi. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Web & Application Testing — Test websites, web applications (SaaS), and mobile applications for functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Python/Django Testing — Perform testing of Python/Django-based web applications, including backend logic and API endpoints.
• Automated & Command-Line Testing — Write and execute test cases using pytest and Django Unit Tests from the command line.
• UI/UX & Responsive Design Testing — Validate user interface design, user experience flows, and responsive behavior across devices and screen sizes.
• Cross-Platform Testing — Conduct testing on both Windows and Mac environments as required.
• Test Documentation — Write detailed test cases from project specifications and thoroughly document all issues, bugs, and defects found.
• Issue Tracking & Reporting — Log and manage bugs using ticketing systems such as Jira or ActiveCollab, ensuring clear reproduction steps and priority classification.
• Collaboration — Work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
• General QA — Perform any other testing tasks as needed throughout the software development lifecycle.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of working experience, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience in application testing.
• Proven experience in writing test cases from project specifications and documenting issues found.
• Working experience with ticketing/project management systems such as Jira or ActiveCollab.
• Familiarity with testing websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design testing.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Quick learner with the ability to pick up new concepts, tools, and technologies rapidly.
• Strong collaboration skills — able to work in partnership with development, design, and project management teams.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• Experience writing Python pytest-based test cases.
• Familiarity with Django Unit Tests and command-line testing workflows.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of automation testing frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Gherkin BDD, Cucumber).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitLab.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
